Sunday February 10th : 4pm-6pm
Beginning Contemporary Embroidery with all supplies & kit.
In this class you will learn all the basics to learn how to embroider. You will learn 4 basic stiches (satin stitch, chain stitch, back stitch and French knot). Along with the kits, you will learn about everything involved in your kit like how to transfer a pattern, how to prep your hoops and finishing techniques. The class will have Valentines Day edition pattern designs created by Serena Madrigal, each student will choose their own design and thread colors so everyone’s work will be unique and different. To take home you will have an in progress project, and everything in your kit. Kits include 6” flexi hoop, linen fabric, 3 size 8 needles and a selection of DMC embroidery floss. No experience is necessary and
all skill levels are welcome!
The class will be taught by Artist Serena Madrigal. Working with many mediums embroidery is her main medium. Serena is a self-taught contemporary embroidery artist interested in teaching others the techniques and creativeness that comes with embroidery.
